One sided Friendship......possible???

We can’t choose our relatives, to compensate god created friendship. The most beautiful of all relationships in the world, where people are not bound by some social obligation but a relationship created, nurtured and lived with true free will. Friendship is much more beautiful than love, because love can develop into obsession but friendship is all about sharing, said some noble soul. Sharing the joy, sorrows, pain and happiness along with the most important aspect, trust. We are friends with someone because we trust them, because we know that he will be there beside us when the whole world is not. But, as there is one sided love, do we have something called one sided friendship. Sounds weird but it can be true, we can assume someone to be our friend, someone for whom we are ready to do whatever can be done, and that someone either doesn’t know this or doesn’t want to know this. Whenever two people interact in this world there is something called expectations which crop up, you can’t avoid them. If there will be no expectations then the whole world will be peaceful, but sadly enough this is not possible. Friendship takes a new meaning driven by expectations and then, suddenly one day you realize that you expected a lot but got nothing, you were always trying to be the “best friend” but someone was not even noticing and it feels as if you were living in a dream. When you suddenly face real life after waking up from a dream it sometimes become worse than a nightmare. You try to convince yourself that this is not true, it can’t be true, but reality catches up and then you have no choice left. It all ends up by either you letting it go or clinging, to go down with it. “Love your enemies just in case your friends turn out to be bastards.” Anonymous

again well said .... in life every thing is need driven and even friendship is an emotional need. We may feel led down by some one and in cases we might be the culprits... the irony tat is life.

We should be in friendships which are value adding :) or energy draining man

Very well written post, much appreciated ..

I would like to mention a different type of one sided friendship..

How abt 2 best friends A & B once upona time, A tricks n betrays B.. B looses confidence in the friendship they had .. Ultimately they get separated .. But both still consider each other as a friend .. And one fine day they are back..

But, the B still keeps a safe distance from A just bcoz of the past but decides to be his friend in need. Also B makes sure that he is not dependent on A in any sense but is always ready to help A no matter what !
However hard A tries, B vl always be A's best friend but vl never ever share with A any problem or happy moment B faces ..

Sounds weird.. but unfortunately its true ..
;-)

lol ..
